Dear Customer,

As our commitment to always prioritize security and convenience for Customer’s transactions, we would like to inform about the changes regarding Dormant Accounts which will be effective starting February 1st, 2023

Item Current terms New terms
Dormant Account Definition Maybank Savings Account/ Currents Account (Conventional or Shariah) with no transaction activity for a period of 6 (six) consecutive months. Maybank Savings Account/ Currents Account (Conventional or Shariah) - exclude Maybank RDN/RDN iB, Superkidz/Superkidz iB, MyPlan/MyPlan iB, EduPlan/EduPlan iB Savings Account and U Goal Saver/ U Goal Saver iB Account - with no transaction activity carried out by the Customer, for a period of 12 (twelve) consecutive months
Dormant Accounts criteria for automatic account closing process by system.

Dormant account with zero balance for 60 (sixty) months or more. Implementation of automatic account by system, will be done quarterly in January, April, July & October.

Dormant account with zero balance for 36 (thirty six) months or more. Implementation of automatic account by system, will be done quarterly in January, April, July & October.
