Maybank Indonesia's Latest Breakthrough Program: My Happy & Lucky Bank

 

Jakarta, 11 April 2021 – The main strategy adopted by PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk. ("Maybank Indonesia" or the "Bank") throughout 2021 is to form a closer relationship with its customers and the wider community so that the banking services Maybank Indonesia offers may help customers conduct their financial and banking activities easily, quickly, conveniently and safely, supported by the Banks’ flagship M2U digital banking platform

To support this strategy, Maybank Indonesia has organized a program to offer the wider community a special opportunity to join Maybank Indonesia’s loyal customers and participate in the My Happy & Lucky Bank prize draw program to receive a variety of very attractive prizes.

The My Happy & Lucky Bank program prioritizes an introduction to Maybank Indonesia's superior feature products and services, especially for personal account customers, whom the Bank offers its latest flagship M2U platform designed as a premium digital banking solution by Maybank Indonesia.

The My Happy & Lucky Bank program is also expected to increase the interest of Bank customers in actively conducting digital financial transactions and making the widest possible use of Maybank Indonesia's financial products and services such as Home Ownership Financing (“KPR”), credit cards, investment products, and life insurance. Participation in these activities and the continued use of these products will multiply the customer's points.

Unlike other banking lottery programs, as our customers become increasingly active in their conducting digital financial transactions conducted via M2U and other personal banking products, they will collect more points and increase their chances of winning a variety of prizes from the frequent My Happy & Lucky Bank program drawings.

Any who have not yet taken advantage of Maybank Indonesia services can easily and quickly become customers of the bank by opening an online savings account via the M2U application, which can be downloaded from Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Customers only need to conduct a minimum of four financial transactions each month, such as making bill payments, e-money top ups, credit purchases, and other transactions, and maintain an average monthly balance of IDR 2 million until the end of the program period.

Customers may easily participate in this latest program from Maybank Indonesia, which calculates the points obtained from the majority of their personal account product portfolio with Maybank Indonesia, and also takes into account when customers invite others to become customers (referral program), and includes this in the calculation of their accumulated points for the My Happy & Lucky Bank program.

Points will accumulate even faster when customers buy or use other personal banking products such as making deposits and purchasing investment products or life insurance, and so on.

For example, a customer who applies for Home Ownership Financing (“KPR”) with a minimum loan disbursement of IDR 500 million during the program period will receive an extra 50 points, while a customer who makes a minimum online mutual fund purchase via M2U of Rp. 500 thousand will also receive extra points. If, amid the ongoing pandemic, a customer purchases life insurance to protect themselves and their family, they will receive an additional 10 points.

Customers can also increase their points by inviting (referring) their friends and relatives to join Maybank Indonesia through M2U online onboarding. These customers will receive 10% of the total points accumulated by the customers they have referred. Loyal Maybank Indonesia customers will receive twice the referral points of other customers.

Once referred customers collect a minimum of 250 points, they will receive additional cash rewards. This scheme has been designed in such a way that all customers have an equal opportunity of winning the latest prizes. This is what differentiates the My Happy & Lucky Bank program from other banking prize draw programs, as it not only increase the balance in the bank account.

To enhance the My Happy & Lucky Bank program, Maybank has prepared a variety of very attractive prizes, namely Grand Prizes of six environmentally friendly, low carbon emission hybrid vehicles consisting of three Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrids and three Nissan Kicks, while the Mini Grand Prizes are 16 classic road bikes, 16 Viar electric bikes, 16 Samsung S21 handphones, and hundreds of e-vouchers worth IDR 1 million for shopping on one of Indonesia’s leading e-commerce platforms.

"By providing Grand Prizes and Mini Grand Prizes such as hybrid cars and bicycles, we invite customers and the public to support an environmentally friendly lifestyle in line with the government's plan to reduce carbon emissions announced two years ago," said Director of Community Financial Services (CFS) at Maybank Indonesia, Steffano Ridwan.

Steffano continued by saying, "The My Happy & Lucky lottery program is an expression of the Bank's appreciation for its loyal customers who regularly use the Maybank digital platform and offline banking services. The My Happy & Lucky Bank lottery program is also expected to attract the interest of the public and customers who may not yet have savings, or are interested in taking advantage of Maybank Indonesia banking services."

To support this program and anticipate the increased use of the M2U application, Maybank Indonesia's Chief Strategy, Transformation & Digital Officer Michel Hamilton said, “Our M2U platform is ready and has been transformed into a one-stop solution financial application. This application will continue to be developed so that we may offer greater convenience to our customers to transact, manage, and plan their finances in a practical manner via a single application."

As well as accessing their savings and term savings products such as MyPlan and EduPlan through M2U, customers may also purchase mutual fund investment products, conduct Maybank credit card transactions, make online membership subscriptions, and enjoy many other facilities. Customers receive points for the My Happy and Lucky Bank lottery program from conducting all of these financial activities.

The M2U is now equipped with an online onboarding feature to speed up the customer registration process for new Maybank customers by offering a self-service data and card maintenance feature to allow customers to manage their accounts, debit and credit cards, and personalize the M2U application to suit their own requirements

The My Happy & Lucky Bank program point collection will start from April 15 until December 31, 2021 and the first drawing period will start in June 2021 and continue each month until the final drawing in January 2022. The Grand Prize drawings for the three Nissan Kicks will take in July, August and September 2021, while drawings for the three Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrids will take place in November, December 2021 and January 2022. Monthly drawings will be held for the Mini prizes of bicycles, handphones, and e-vouchers.
