Customers can open a Maybank Savings Account online through:
M2U ID App, by first downloading it from the App Store/Play Store. Opening a Maybank Savings Account via the M2U ID App is available for the Maybank Global Access Savings Account
Every Indonesian Citizen (WNI) who has an Identity Card (KTP) and is recorded in the Population Data of the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs (Dukcapil).
Customers can open an account at any time 7 days a week / 24 hours a day and the video call verification process with Maybank Customer Service can be done every day from 8 AM to 6 PM WIB.
Mobile device shouldn’t in “jail break” or “rooted” condition.
Have a mobile device operating system of at least iOS 9.0 or higher / Android 4.4.2 or higher.
Ensure the availability of storage mobile devices of at least 150MB.
Make sure you have a stable internet network, it is recommended to use a WIFI network for a more stable connection.
Make sure the signal is good and in a place where it's easy to get SMS. Sending One Time Password (OTP) SMS really depends on your telecommunication provider.
Mobile device connected with Customer’s active e-mail which registered when opening the account.
Prospective customers can select the option ‘resend the OTP code’ to get a new OTP code after 1 minute from the previous OTP request and fill in the latest OTP code again in the OTP SMS field.
Opening a Maybank Savings Account online does not come with a passbook. Customers will receive electronic transaction statements (e-statements) that are sent monthly to their verified email address. Please ensure that the email address used during account opening is your personal email so that you can receive the e-statements.

Make sure user The selected ID is still available and has not been used by someone else.
Create a user ID of at least 8 characters and a maximum of 20 characters which can consist of a unique combination of initials, names, dates or other numbers that are easy to remember.
Verification via video call with Maybank Customer Care may still be required if your data is not correct.
In the online account opening process, if the results of verification of ID card data, selfie photos and other personal data match the data recorded in the Dukcapil savings account, it will be immediately active.

The account created when customers open a Maybank Tabungan Arafah or Maybank Payroll Savings account online through the Maybank Corporate Website, but have not yet completed KYC verification and upgraded to a permanent account.
The video call process can be made by the prospective customer in the same session during the data filling process fro From 8 AM to 6 PM WIB (maximum 14 days from the start of the account opening process).
The account will not be created if the savings account opening via the M2U ID App requires further KYC verification, but it is not completed by the potential Customer

After the account opening process, the customer can see the account number and debit card number.
Information regarding the account number and debit card number (if the product has a debit card feature and the card is sent to the customer's address) will also be sent to the customer's verified email address
Customer who opened online Maybank Savings Account can get Maybank ATM/Debit Card by applying for a ATM/Debit card through the M2U ID App( Add Card in Card Management menu) or come to visit the nearest Maybank branch.
If the customer does not get a debit card after passing the SLA for delivery or 'return' delivery status, the customer can go to the nearest Maybank branch office to request a new debit card by bringing the original KTP. Or you can make a debit card request through the M2U ID App

Currently, customers who only have a Maybank Credit Card can register on the M2U ID Web (https://m2u.maybank.co.id) only and can only access the M2U ID Web. To register on the M2U ID App, an account number and ATM PIN are required.
Customers who only own a Maybank Credit Card may register via M2U ID Web (https://m2u.maybank.co.id) and will only be able to access M2U ID Web. An account number and ATM PIN are necessary for registration on M2U ID App.
