The Risks of Pegadaian Gold Savings

1. Pegadaian Gold Savings product is a product owned by Pegadaian and is not a product of Maybank Indonesia. Maybank Indonesia acts as sales agent for this product. Pegadaian Gold Savings product is a form of investment product therefore this product is not guaranteed by the Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS). Maybank Indonesia is not responsible for any risks coming from Pegadaian Gold Savings product.
2. Gold purchase and selling transactions are risky activities due to the tendency of gold prices to fluctuate. Gold prices will be updated on Gold Savings feature on M2U ID App (mobile banking) by Pegadaian from time to time to follow global gold prices. The M2U ID App (mobile banking) will display information on today's gold buying/selling prices therefore Customers can monitor and check gold prices as well as potential profit/loss on the value of gold held by Customers. Customers are expected to consider and understand before making a decision to buy gold as a form of investment on M2U ID App (mobile banking).
3. There may be complaints/questions from Customers regarding the Customer data being shared to Pegadaian. The sharing of Customer data is for the purpose of registering a Pegadaian Gold Savings and to make Pegadaian Gold Savings transactions. It is also possible that there will be potential use of data by Pegadaian.
4. There is a possibility of changes/updates/addition to the terms and conditions for gold Savings transactions. Pegadaian/Maybank will inform the Customer within 30 working days before the change/renewal/addition of these terms and conditions takes effect.
5. The risk of the system being inaccessible when the Customer is about to make a transaction is possible. If there is a system failure or other transaction problem, Customer can contact Maybank Customer Care 24 hour service at 1500611 or +622178869811 (from abroad) or e-mail to customercare@maybank.co.id (Monday - Friday at 08:00 – 20:00 Western Indonesia Time and Saturday - Sunday at 08:00 – 17:00 Western Indonesia Time).
6. The risk of the Customer's gold transactions failing due to not complying with the provisions (including but not limited to the terms and conditions of the Pegadaian gold transactions, the applied limit provisions for Pegadaian Gold transaction, the provisions of the applied laws and regulations). If the transaction failed/rejected by the system, the Customers are expected to make a transaction that complies with the applied terms and conditions.
7. Customers cannot reactivate Pegadaian Gold Savings if the cause of it being inactive is due to the gold balance available is not enough to pay the annual custody fee. If Customers wish to be able to make gold transactions again, Customers must follow the process of opening a new Pegadaian Gold Savings.
