*Water hammer is a condition where a motor vehicle’s engine can no longer turn on due to liquid entering the engine’s combustion chamber through vehicle’s air intake channel. The liquid will then receive large pressure caused by the piston in the cylinder chamber, which could result in bent piston rods, piston ring damage, damaged cylinder wall, or bent cylinder head.

Things you need to know:
- Insurance premium is calculated by the amount of Vehicle’s Sum Insured, vehicle’s type and brand, and region of vehicle’s registration number.
- Insurance premium for vehicles with special risk profiles, such as Tankers, Taxis, commercial usage vehicles, and the like, will be determined from PT Asuransi Allianz Utama Indonesia’s underwriting analysis.
- Sum Insured for personal usage motor vehicles are determined from valid market price.
- Sum insured for used motor vehicles are determined from valid market price.
- Customers may receive a return on premium subject to no claims.
- Insurance premium for Third Party Legal Liability are calculated progressively.
- Maximum vehicle age is 5 years old. If the vehicle’s age exceeds 5 years, then an additional loading rate of 5% per vehicle year will be applied.
- If the customer picks the manufacturer’s authorized workshop benefit, then the insurance premium will be calculated based on the base rate of either comprehensive or total loss only coverage with additional loading rate.
How to Apply
You may visit the nearest Maybank branch office to apply. Additional documents required for application procedures are as follows:
- Copy of ID Card.
- Copy of Vehicle Registration Certificate (Surat Tanda Nomor Kendaraan / STNK).
- Photograph of vehicle (outside – front, left, right, and back of vehicle; and inside).
Claim Procedure

- Please ensure that claim notifications to PT Asuransi Allianz Utama Indonesia are sent within maximum of 5 (five) calendar days after occurrence.
