In 2017 Maybank Indonesia supported the participation of 50 wheelchair runners from the Disabled People Empowerment Center (PUSPADI) Bali, a local non-profit organization that focuses on empowering disability community, in Maybank Bali Marathon activities with 10K category. Their participation in the Maybank Bali Marathon, which began in 2012, aimed to increase their confidence and provided opportunities for them to feel the atmosphere of international marathon race. In addition, this support was also part of an effort to campaign the disability rights equality.
